Content and community rules
These rules exist so that Rehber Burada stays a directory people can trust. They apply when you add business details, descriptions, photos, logos and videos.
This translation is provided for convenience; the Turkish text is binding: İçerik kuralları
1. Prohibited content
The following content is not allowed in the directory:
2. Photos, logos and videos
- Images must belong to your business: your premises, products, team (with their permission) or logo.
- Do not upload images taken from other sites, watermarked images or images you have no rights to.
- For photos showing people's faces, you must have their consent.
- The video link must be a YouTube video presenting your business.
- Documents (tax certificate etc.) are uploaded only in the claim form; never add them to the gallery.
3. How are changes reviewed?
To keep things easy for business owners we use mixed moderation:
| What changed? | What happens? |
|---|---|
| Phone, address, opening hours, website, social media, location | Goes live immediately. |
| Business name and category | Always reviewed by an administrator. The old version stays visible until approved. (To prevent brand impersonation and listing hijacking.) |
| Description and contact person | Checked against a banned-word list and by AI. If fine, it goes live immediately; if flagged, it goes to an administrator. |
| Logo, cover, photos and video | Go live immediately; administrators regularly review recent uploads and remove anything that breaks the rules. |
The AI never rejects content on its own; anything it flags is reviewed by a human. We email you when a change is approved or rejected.
4. Sanctions
Depending on severity and repetition:
- the content is removed or the change rejected,
- the account holder is warned,
- ownership or editing rights over the business are temporarily suspended,
- the account is closed; illegal content is reported to the authorities.
5. Reporting content
If you see content in the directory that breaks the rules, is wrong or infringes your rights, use the Report content form; the “Report” link on business pages leads to the same form. Include the address of the content, the reason and your contact details.
- We review reports within 48 hours at the latest.
- For claims of personality rights or copyright infringement we may ask for information showing that you are the right holder.
- We implement court or authority decisions within 24 hours at the latest (Law No. 5651).
- If you want your business removed from the directory, use the Remove my business page.
6. Appeals
If your content was removed or your change rejected, you can appeal through our contact channels. Appeals are reviewed by an administrator who did not make the original decision, and we reply with reasons.
